S.A. Man Killed In Korea
CANBERRA, July 31.
A 19-year-old SA soldier, Pte. Leon John Leger Dawes, of Thevenard was killed in action in Korea while the final truce negotiations were taking place.
Pte. Dawes, who was born at Cleve. had joined the SAR as a junior porter after leaving school. He was living at Thevenard with his parents when he enlisted.
