Son of Charles Jeptha PRICE of 64 Kensington Terrace, Kensington, SA. Educated at Rose Park Public School, Stanley played cricket and tennis and was also fond of swimming. He played football for the Payneham Association for several seasons. For some time he was attached to the Eastern Extension Telegraph Service and then worked as a grocer's assistant. Stanley joined the RAAF in May 1940 and trained in Victoria. His only brother Private H.C. Price served in the 32nd Battalion in the Great War.
