"MR. STAN JOSEY DIES SUDDENLY
The death occurred suddenly at his home. Glen Pairlie, Goodna, this week, of Mr. Stanford R. C. (Stan) Josey, a member of one of the pioneer families of the Redbank Plains and Goodna districts. The late Mr. Josey, who was 56, was also well known in the western districts. He was a veteran of the 1914-18 war, having served in France with the 11th Howitzers, 4th Division. His wife, formerly Miss Elsie Parker, and a grown family of five daughters and two sons survive." - from the Brisbane Telegraph 06 Apr 1950 (nla.gov.au)
