"THE LATE LIEUTENANT R. W. REES.
Mr W. Rees, Alberton, has been notified that his son, lieutenant Reginald W. Rees. died on November 11 of wounds received in action in France. Lieutenant Rees was 25 years and 11 months of age. He left here in May, 1915, as a sergeant. Gallant conduct on Gallipoli Peninsula helped him to promotion, but he gained his commission by valor at Pozieres. He was born at Petersburg and educated at the Port Adelaide public school. He was a first-class rifle shot, and won a gold medal in competition at the Port Adelaide Rifle Ranges, in addition to other prizes.
