Son of William Daniel and Henrietta Sangster; husband of Ronda Newman Sangster, of Eden Hills, South Australia.
Stoker William John Sangster, 27, only son of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Sangster, of Mead Street, Largs was educated at Lefevre's Peninsula school and employed by the South Australian Harbors Board until he enlisted. He was a member of the Semaphore Masonic Lodge, and Largs Dinghy Club, and Caledonian Society. In September 1940, he married Nurse R Nettlebeck of Eden South.
