Engineroom Artificer Wesley Bowden Knapman, 38, was a vigneron at McLaren Flat when he left to join the navy in January, 1940. He served in a minesweeper and recently transferred to the Sydney. The only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Knapman, of Alberton, he was born at Port Adelaide, and educated at Alberton School and St. Peter's College. His wife and their daughter Christobel (5) are living at Surrey street, Grange.
