S.A. Airman
Flying Officer Richard James Wilkie, RAF, 27, of Hyde street, Tusmore, was killed in an air craft accident in the United Kingdom yesterday His parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Wilkie, received the news by cable today. Their son was with a Mosquito night fighter squadron at West Malling, Kent. Flying Officer Wilkie enlisted in the RAAF in December, 1941, and served four years. He was on active service in England with a Mosquito night fighter squadron for three years. He was discharged in Australia late in 1945, and returned to England in August last year and joined the RAF Flying Officer Wilkle was educated at Rostrevor College. There are three other sons in the family-Alan, David, and Robert.
