"...407529 Pilot Officer James Neil McDonald DFM, RAAF of 148 Squadron, RAF, from Adelaide SA... PO McDonald was awarded the DFM in January 1943 for his keenness and determination on operations in Malta and the Middle East. He was lost on operations over Germany on 13 August, 1944 while flying with 156 Squadron, RAF and is buried in the Rheinberg War Cemetery at Kamp Lintfort, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany..." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
