Mitchell A47-13 of Number 2 Squadron crashed near Adelaide River, NT while on a bombing training exercise
6 crewmen were killed (5 RAAF / 1 RAF - Flying Officer Kenneth Joseph Hadley 131581 Royal Air Force of 549SQN) and there was one survivor: the pilot - Flight Lieutenant Stanley Davies 415512 who was discharged from the RAAF 13 August 1945

Flying Officer David Gethen Lane 416434 - son of Edwin and Gertrude Alice Lane of Marryatville, SA (passed away from his injuries on the 8th of August)
Pilot Officer Arthur Keith Buckland 7010 - son of Arthur Harold and Amy Louisa Buckland of Mount Hawthorn, WA (passed away from his injuries on the 19th of August)
