Son of Dr John Bernard Gunson and Annie Elizabeth Gunson of Toorak Gardens, SA
His death was reported in the Sydney Morning Herald 13 June 1995 “formerly of Adelaide”
His brother, Flying Officer Alan William Morphett Gunson 417178 also served in the RAAF - KIA 21 Sep 1943 with 10SQN RAAF
Their cousins also served in the RAAF - Flight Lieutenant Norman Peter Coles Gunson DFC 407424 (flew with 22SQN RAAF - survived the war) & Flying Officer Paul Coles Gunson 407436 (KIA in 13SQN RAAF Lockheed Hudson A16-243)
