Mr. Walker was a member of the air crew of the RAAF doing his initial training at Victor Harbour, and he received his wings at Port Pirie. He was still training with OTU when the war ended.
Mr. Walker was a printer's apprentice before he left this office, to serve with the forces, and returning in October, 1945, he again took up printing. He lives with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Walker, of Ellis Street, Mt Gambier.
