Son of Elliott Frederick and Clara Elvira Pflaum, of Loxton, South Australia.

"ON DUTY"

Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Pflaum, of Loxton, have been officially advised that their only son, Flt-Sgt. John Elliott Pflaum, 20, lost his life when flying a Kittyhawk plane. He was returning to Australia and crashed at Zamboanga. Flt-Sgt. Pflaum was educated at the Loxton primary school and Prince Alfred College. At the time of his enlistment in 1943 he was on the staff  of Goldsbrough, Mort & Co. Ltd. at Loxton.
