CAMPBELL'S CREEK.
It is always pleasing to bo able to report successes of old and young- boys of Campbell's Creek. Mr Paul Dalton Annear, who studied in the old Grammar School under Mr Richardson, has achieved a very creditable record. He started by winning a scholarship, and thereafter pursued his studies in Melbourne with such success that he has held certificate as Clerk of Courts for over twelve months. On Saturdav at the University in Melbourne the decree of L-L.-B. was conferred on the young gentleman, who is only 24 years of age.
The death is announced of Private Paul Dalton Annear LL.B., son of the late Mr J. O. and Mrs H. D. Annear, of Campbell's Creek, near Castlemaine. Deceased, who was 25 years of age, died of wounds received in action at the Dardanelles. Another promising career has been cut short as the result of this cruel war, as the deceased gave promise of making a name for himself in the legal profession. He was a nephew of Mr J. Annear, of Cobden.
