Son of Ernest Ralph Knight and Jessie Annie (nee Young Knight of Commercial Road, Port Augusta, SA
Plane was Lancaster MN721 while on air operations over Germany targeting Rostiz and was hit by flak over the target and just prior to releasing its bomb load. Three of the crew were Australians.
