Flight-Sgt. J. P. O'Donnell.
The sad news has been conveyed to Mr. and Mrs. D. T. O'Donnell, of 29 Wallis Street, Parkside, that their son, Flight-Sergeant John Patrick O'Donnell, R.A.A.F., was lost in an aircraft accident off the coast of Scotland on December 28 last and is believed to have lost his life. The late Sgt. O'Donnell was born on September 2, 1920. He was educated at  the Christian Brothers at Adelaide and Rostrevor Colleges. At the time of his enlistment he was employed in the Customs Department. He was keenly in terested in sports, and  was captain of the Old Collegians' football team.
He enlisted in 1940, and was later sent to England as a navigator.
Three brothers are in the forces, the eldest having served with the R. A.A.F. in Singapore and Malaya. There is one sister, Molly. Deep sympathy is tendered to his family. R.I.P.
