NOTE: This soldier is also know as Pte Ernest Sydney ASHEN. Throughout the Service Record the Family name of ASHUE adn ASHEN are both used. The record on the Roll of Honour is formally linked to the Family name ASHEN and the digital file notes 'Also known As' Ernest Syndey ASHEU.
Private ASHUE was found Permanently unfit for Duty on 6 July 1917 and as returned to Australia on 13 September 1917.
