Corporal Royce Charlton Shaddock 39793 of Number 1 Mobile Works Squadron based at Commalie Creek, NT died from shock following extensive burn injuries

Son of Ilbert John Stedeford Shaddock and Laura Francisca Caroline Shaddock; husband of Jean Shaddock, of Port Lincoln, South Australia.

Mrs. Jean Shaddock, who is staying with her sister-in-law, Mrs. W. E. Campbell at Glossop, has been notified that her husband, Corporal Royce Charlton Shaddock (R.A.A.F.) was accidentally killed in North Australia on October 16. Corporal Shaddock spent most of his early life at Berri being a student at  the Berri School. Later he joined the staff of the Berri Electric Light Co. Corporal Shaddock was a very keen member of the Berri Swimming Club and a swimming instructor. He was married to Miss Jean Culverwell at Berri on November 13, 1937. Besides his widow he leaves one small daughter. Corporal  Shaddock was the second son of Mr. R. J. Shaddock and the late Mrs. Shaddock of Chaffey, and enlisted at Port Lincoln.
