Son of Walter Henry and Agnes Jane Kerr (nee Thomson) SIBBICK, 40 Osmond Terrace, Norwood, SA.
Married, aged 20 years and residing at 4 Catherine Street Kensington, Walter had been educated at Rose Park Public School. He was a member of the Murray Motor Cycle Club and in civilian life worked on fruit blocks in the River Murray District. He joined the R.A.A.F. at Renmark in April 1941 and trained at Mt. Breckan and after two months was discharged as medically unfit. He then joined the Militia and was called up in the 108th Reserve Motor Transport in September 1941 and discharged as medically unfit in January 1942.
