Albert Barlow was born in Newbury, England. He joined the Australian Imperial Forces at the age of 27. He was 5 feet and 7 inches, he had hazel eyes and fair hair. He was religious, his religion was the Church of England. He was not married nor did he have any children. He had a mother Jane Barlow, who was his next of kin.
Albert Barlow was enlisted on the15/5/1916. He embarked on the Aeneas in Sydney on the 30/9/16. Like all soldiers that participated in the Australian Imperial Forces, Albert took an oath. He was once transferred overseas to France. He marched out of his unit several times and rejoined his unit several times. Albert Barlow had many trips to the hospitals in France mainly for many things like gastro, fevers and wounds. Albert Barlow disembarked in Plymouth on the 15/9/1919. He was discharged on the 30/10/1919.
