He was the son of Thornton John Webb of 85 Ferry Road, Tilbury.He was a steward [Ship’s?] He served 7 years on a training ship.
He stated he was born in Orsett, Essex
Enlisted at Liverpool, NSW aged 23 on 5th July 1915
He was engaged to Miss Edith. Annie Jenkins in Australia by whom he had a daughter Phyllis Ivy Jenkins born 12th November 1915 at Fremantle
