Son of Mr and Mrs A.E.E. MOORE of 341 Halifax Street, Adelaide, SA.  Darcy was a twin brother to Pte. Terence William Moore AMF, and he had another brother L.A.C. Raymond David Moore.  Educated at Wallaroo Public School he was fond of swimming and played cricket, football and tennis. He had many friends and was very popular.  Enlisted in October 1941 when he was employed on electrict drill and lathe work.  Darcy served in Darwin.
