Biography

Member of the 2nd/43rd Infantry Battalion. Served in Palestine. During his time at sea he instructed the men in physical activities, ie running around the decks. Took ill during a briefing prior to Tobruk and was admitted to hospital. Unable to re-join his battalion he remained in Palestine as a Provost.

Moved to Victoria where he remained for the rest of his life. Re-joined the army at Puckupunyal. Promoted to Sergeant and became Physical Education instructor.

Left the army a couple of years later and settled into civilian life.
