Son of Henry Havelock Vidal and Ada J. Vidal of Kembla Street, Wollongong, NSW.
On 2 January 1919 George married Kate Doris Pittoria Vaughan in Swindon, Wiltshire, England. It appears that Kate may not have come to Australia.
