Uncle George Ide by Kelvin Bowman
George Fredrick Ingleside Ide named after:-
Grandfather:-George Fredrick buried in the Crystal brook cemetery
Father:- Thomas Frederick. Mother:- Elizabeth Ellen Plots 638B & 683D Crystal Brook cemetery.
Ingleside, (my recollection) may have come from his father working for the Inglis family (farm name Ingleside) at Merriton, near Crystal Brook, before purchacing the Ide family nearby
Wife:-Jean Lillian (may have been Lilian after her mother) brother Douglas Bowman SX442 KIA, brother of my father Malcolm Richard S34599.
Uncle George & Aunty Jean lived on their farm along with George's father Tom. The farm name, at Merriton was Broughton View, named after the Broughton River which formed the western boundary. As a child our family visited their farm often.
