Oswyth William SIMERSALL was born on 24th November, 1913 in Kent Town South Australia - his Army records stated the date as 17th

His parents were Joseph James SIMERSALL and Edith TOZER who married in 1903 in Victoria

He enlisted on 12th May, 1941 in Mildura, Victoria

Oswyth died of Illness on 23rd March, 1944 in Adelaide, South Australia and is buried in Centennial Park Cemetery, Adelaide - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial and the Norwood Roll of Honour in South Australia

His last unit was 1 Recruitment Training Battalion AEME and his last rank was Craftsman
