Son of Mr and Mrs W.A. TOY of 28 South Terrace, Thebarton, SA. Educated at Thebarton Technical School, he was fond of sport expecially motor cycling. He was a member of Areo Club and of the 43rd-48th Militia for nearly 5 years. Ronald gained the 'Cross' Rifle Badge for three years running. In civilian life he worked for many years with D & J Fowler Ltd in the Food and Chemical Department.
