Husband of Rosie WLSON of 53 Fifth Street, Port Pirie West. Educated at Jamestown and Port Pirie Schools he followed racing in various parts of South Australia. He was fond of swimming and a lover of animals, particularly dogs. Henry worked in S.A. Railways for several years and then transferred to Holdens. He joined the Militia in May 1939, and after training in camps, left Adelaide for Darwin in December 1941. His father-in-law Private J.F. Smale was in the Great War (10th Battalion).
