 Son of Thomas Vearing and  Louisa Isa Vearing nee Bell of Bromby Street, South Yarra, Victoria. Thomas returned to Australia on 11 June 1919 having served with the 4th Light Horse Regiment.

Commenced return to Australia on 23 June 1919 aboard HT Orita disembarking on 6 August 1919
