Son of Mr and Mrs D WARREN of Stepney, SA.
Husband of Elsie Dorothy WARREN, 3 Wells Street, Stepney, SA.
Educated at Wellington Road North Norwood, Raymond played football and was also keen on swimming and was a member of the Walkerville Swimming Club. In civilian life he worked at Richards Motor Body Works when he enlisted in October 1939 in the 10th Battalion. He was then transferred to the 4th Garrison Battalion, and later to the 18th Garrison Battalion. His father Trooper D WARREN, fought in the Boer War as a member of the 4th Bushman's Corps., returned to Australia and later re-enlisted in the 7th Bushman's Corps and saw service in South Africa.
