Son of Mr and Mrs B.T. CHRISTERSON of Wallaroo.  Educated at Wallaroo, he played cricket for Yorketown and in civilian life farmed mostly on the Peninsula being employed by Mr. Eddy Page of Yorketown.  He later was employed at Holdens Motors Ltd. and served several months with the Militia before the outbreak of the war.  Enlisting in August 1939 Frederick trained at Woodside in the Artillery Section.  Aged 24, he was married with one child and residing at 231 Rundle Street, Adelaide.
