Corporal Jack Stanley Storer (Service No:SX26070) first enlisted in the ACMF as a Private (Service No:S29269) attached to 4 MD Supply Column AASC on 17 December 1941 and was a Lance Corporal when he transferred to the AIF on 26 October 1942. Promoted to Corporal on 25 February 1943, he served with 122 General Transport Coy and was Discharged on 25 September 1945.
The eldest of six children, Jack was born in 1917 in Adelaide South Australia to Stanley Benjamin Storer (b1886 in Adelaide, South Australia) and Alice Marsella Gladice Moloney (b1889 in Kapunda, South Australia). Stanley (a Draper) and Alice married in 1916 in Robertstown, South Australia and settled in Adelaide where they raised their family and Stanley was a Draper and Manufacturer.
Jack started work in the mid 1930s as a Factory Worker and was a Glazier and Carpenter when he enlisted in 1941. In 1942 Jack married Margaret Kathleen Ambrose-Pearce (b1919 in Adelaide, SA) - they were Divorced by 1944 when Jack remarried to Joan Gwenneth Stubblety (b1918 in Adelaide, SA) - Joan was working as a Cashier and was a Premier Netball Player. Jack and Joan settled in Adelaide where they raised their family - Jack died in 1988 and Joan in 1997.
