Only son of Allan James Bertram EBSARY of 18a Second Avenue, Forestville, SA who served in the Great War with the 32nd Battalion. Educated at Bute Public School and fond of football and bicycle riding he was a member of the Militia for about 18 months. In civilian life he was in the Post Office in Bute and then employed as a mechanic with Mr. Williams of Ashford.
