Biography contributed by Robert Kearney

My father held several official positions within the Gawler RSL and was awarded Life Membership. My mother Eleanor held several offices in the Women’s Auxiliary, in Gawler and later in Seaton, and was also awarded Life Membership. She was also awarded the Gold Badge for her services. We often joked that she could make sandwiches (for the RSL) in her sleep! As well, she belonged to Legacy and the War Widows’ Guild, and sold badges into her 80s. - Dr Jennifer Rocca
