Ern Nitschke from nephew Kelvin Bowman
As I recollect, Uncle Ern was a cook in the Army.
Uncle Ern met Edith Renown (Anne) Page at Wallaroo, while Anne was nursing at Wallaroo Hospital during WW2, as a double certificated sister.
They had 2 children. Alan and Gayle.
After the war Ern & Anne settled in Millicent in the South East of SA. Ern worked at the Cellulose Pty Ltd near Millicent until retiring to Christies Beach, south of Adelaide.
Almost yearly our family and theirs would journey from each others home to either Millicent or Gulnare for a family holiday, year about.
