After the war ken settle at Maaoupe with his wife and four children. Hi first wife, Thelma, died in 1978 and his second wife Mary died in 2013. All are interred in the Penola Cemetery, South Australia.

Ken was very active in the Coonawarra Penola RSL Sub Branch and was an RSL Awarded Life Member

Ken was also very active in horse racing serving on the Penola Racing club Committe for many years
