Son of F & C REINERTSEN of Croydon.
Husband of Ermine REINERTSEN of 34 King William Street, Kent Town. Educated at the Sturt Street Public School, he played cricket and football, as well as being interested in boxing and wrestling. He took part in bouts in various parts of South Australia. In civilian life he was a seaman on the South Australian Coastal Craft adn also made voyages in overseas steamers.
