Son of Mrs E and the late J A B HALL, of South Terrace, Adelaide. Charles was educated at Camden and Adelaide High School and enjoyed all round sport including cricket and football. He was fond of all kinds of model making, wood, steel and other metal work. Married and residing at Maria Street, Thebarton, he was employed as a motor trimmer in Duncan Buildings, Franklin Street, Adelaide and then transferred to Richards Motor Body Works when he enlisted in October 1940.
