Albert was mentioned in the book, refer to the index at the rear, plus the citation which occasioned the award of the DCM - Distinguished Conduct Medal, for the service that he conducted at Milne Bay 27/28 Aug 1942, during which he was wounded which required hospitalization, eventual evacuation and discharge 21 Oct 1943.

Private Albert Jospeh ABRAHAM 2nd/10th Battalion
Private Albert Joseph Abraham from Semaphore had been hit five times to his legs as he repelled countless Japanese attempts to get past him. He lost consciousness and was mistakenly left behind when the platoon withdrew. The following morning he was found, having killed a further 6 Japanese overnight. He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal for his gallant stand.
