Son of Mr J.A. and the late Mrs GEOGHAN of Mitcham, SA.
Husband of Ellen Agnes GEOGHAN of 49 Hill Street, Mitcham, SA with one child.
Educated at St Joseph's Mitcham and Christian Brothers' College, James followed outdoor sports and in civilian life worked at various occupations in Mitcham. He enlisted in July 1940 and left Australia in February 1941 via India. He arrived in Egypt in May 1941, was in Alexandria for some time then went to Palestine. Returned to Australia in March 1942 and was on home service.
