Son of Phillip Melanethon ROSE, 25 Kintore Street, Mile End, SA.
Pte. V.C. Rose, who is reported missing, left Australia in the same medical unit as Dr. Raymond T. Binns. While in Palestine he joined Headquarters 9th Division as a clerk in the offices of the Assistant Director of Medical Services. Pte. Rose, who is 27, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. P.M. Rose, Kintore Street, Mile End. He was formerly a teacher on the staff of Woodville High School, and before that was at Port Augusta. He was prominent in University sporting circles in A Grade tennis and A Grade baseball, playing as pitcher in baseball.
