LOVING MEMORIES OF OUR DEAR SON. DIED A BRAVE HERO

Educated at the Malpas School, where he did very well, Private D. C. Boehm has been reported killed in action on May 8. He was aged 23 years and joined the A.I.F. during 1940.  He farmed for a time with his parents near Karoonda. Those who went to school with him have testified to the soldier's  fine character.
He is the son of Mr. A. R. Boehm, who now lives near Adelaide. One of his young friends from Malpas said that Pte. Boehm had many sterling qualities as a boy and grew up just  what was expected of him, a sincere young man who felt he must go overseas and do his duty.
