Victor Maurice WHACKETT was born in Uralla, NSW on 4th March, 1919

His parents were Thomas WHACKETT & Ada  Agnes ADAMS who married in Uralla in 1900

He served in both WW2  (SN NX87294) where he was a Gunner in the 104 Tank AA Regiment and the Korean War (SN 2410010) where he was a Private with the 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Infantry Corps

He married Hazel Helen HAYSTON in Sydney in 1945

Victor was Killed in Action on 22nd June 1953

His brother Allan Clifford WHACKETT (SN N297623) served in the Army during WW2 and was discharged on 17th December, 1945 (118 Australian General Transport)
