Graham W C Allchin was my Grandfathers Cousin
I’m trying to find the link between the previous writers story and my family.
Graham William Charles ALLCHIN was my Grandfathers (Robert Lemon ALLCHIN) cousin.
Robert has one sister - Lois.
My father was named after Graham also - ‘Kenneth Graham Allchin’
Just wanting to find the connection as the previous poster said it was his Fathers cousin - obviously not my dad or my uncle (Ray ALLCHIN) who has posted this story.
Hope to connect with you about G W C ALLCHIN.
Cheers

Uncle Graham Allchin
He was my father’s cousin. Dad spoke of him rarely, but then dad never spoke of the war.
How I wish I could have known more.
Dad told me he was shot down flying the slow “death- traps” that were the Lockheed Hudson.
Graham survived but tried to escape his Japanese jailers only to be captured again and beheaded.
I cannot imagine the pain Graham’s parents must have felt losing their only son and the effect on dad must also have been significant because his first born (after the war), my brother, was called Graham in memory of dad’s cousin, my Uncle Graham Allchin
