Arthur Neville AUSTIN was born in Sydney, NSW on 4th November, 1919

Flying Officer Austin 411726 in Kittyhawk FL277 of 3SQN was killed when his aircraft was shot down off the coast near Sirte - his body was not recovered and he is commemorated on the Alamein Memorial, Egypt
He was part of an armed reconnaissance over the Gheddahia area when German fighters were intercepted; during the resulting combat his aircraft was last seen following an enemy aircraft towards the coast
