Leading Aircraftman Godfrey Ernest William Baldwin 79608 of Number 21 Squadron was struck by LAC Harrington on the 9th of February 1944 following an altercation at Nadzab, New Guinea and died the next day at Number 23 Medical Clearing Station
LAC Harrington was tried by a Field Court Martial and was found guilty of manslaughter, with a sentence of two years imprisonment with hard labour.
133922 James Dudley Harrington was discharged in 1952 with the rank of Corporal from Number 5 Airfield Construction Squadron (5ACS) - new service number A2532 allocated in 1948
