Son of Arthur Eustace Barlow and Irene Margaret Barlow, of Toowoomba, Queensland
He was killed in action at Huggins’ and James’ Roadblocks in the Battle of the Sanananda Track on 19th December 1942.

Downsmen Killed
LIEUTENANT Alan McDougall, formerly of Cooaga, Wandoan, and Lieutenant Eustace D. Barlow, formerly of Bathampton, Hannaford, were two Downsmen amongst those recently killed in action in New Guinea.
Lieutenant Barlow was the second son of Captain and Mrs. Eustace Barlow, Toowoomba. He was educated at Riverview, Sydney, and later attended the Agricultural College, Gatton. Afterwards, with his elder brother, Graham, he took up land at Hannaford.
