Colin Edward Hunter BARNFIELD was born in Waverley, Sydney, NSW on 26th March, 1925
His parents were George Edward BARNFIELD & Maude Elizabeth SAUL who married in Sydney in 1924
He enlisted in the RAAF on 8th March, 1943 & was with the 78 Operational Training Unit, RAF when his plane disappeared during a training run - his body was unrecovered (lost at sea)
His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Alamein Memorial
