Charles Berryman

BERRYMAN, Charles George Lungley. George was born 18 March 1908 in Wimbledon, UK, son of Frederick & Gertude Berryman of Marybrook, WA. He enlisted on 5 April 1941 at Marybrook prior to going to Claremont where he was assigned to the 2/32 Battalion. Corporal No. WX11409. 2/32nd Battalion, Aged 33, he died of wounds in New Guinea 16 September 1943. George is buried Lae War Cemetery, Morobe Province, PNG. He is remembered with Honour on the Busselton Cenotaph. Sadly, his brother Arthur Berryman (RAAF) Pilot Officer. 467 Squadron. was killed in action during flying mission over France 25 June 1944.

Charles George Lungley BERRYMAN was born in Wimbleton, Surrey, England on 21st March, 1908

His parents were Harry Frederick Lungley BERRYMAN & Gertrude Annie GOVES who married in England in 1903 (registered in Kingston)

His brother Arthur Albert William BERRYMAN also served during WW2 in the RAAF (SN 415495) he was with the 467 Squadron when he died on 25th June, 1944
