William Blain

William was born in Perth on 17 07 1911. His parents were William and Christina Blain and his wife was Ivy. At the commencement of war Ivy and William were living and working in Witchcliffe.
William enlisted on 04 1 2 1940 at Claremont in Perth.
He died of wounds fighting in New Guinea and is interred in the Lae War Cemetery Papua New Guinea Grave C D 3.
He had reached the rank of Corporal in the 9th Division Provost Company.
