Son of Charles William and Bertha Minnie BROOKMAN of Canterbury, Victoria
Plane was Lancaster LM 223 and was hit by anti-aircraft fire and crashed at Cape de Gris, Nez, France while on air operations over Calais. Five of the crew were Australians
Also served 19 months in the Victorian Scottish in 1939 and 3 months in Mt Martha Camp
Subjects passed at school were English, History, Commercial Practice. Failed Maths, Geography, French
He played 2 seasons church cricket; football with East Kew; Tennis with St Hilarys Church of England
